Now those must have been the days! Just look at those gorgeous dresses...nowadays, it seems like the dresses and skirts barely cover the necessities, let alone reach the ground!

What fun for these people. I have friends who participate in period events, such as dressing as pilgrims in Plymouth, MA. They always have such fun and return with the most remarkable photographs to add to their memories. ~karen

Lovely photos of some wonderful period clothing. I think the angle you shot from gave a better view than if you had been on the same level. I am just glad that we don't have to wear clothing like that now.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments. These images were taken in October, 2003, at Tall Stacks on the Ohio River at Cincinnati. We were up on the river bank watching these folks stroll along the Public Landing. We weren't dressed in period costumes so weren't allowed down there. ;) I was using a Canon 10D at the time.
