would you consider removing word verification since you also approve comments before they're posted? your sweet wife was kind enough to oblige. just a friendly suggestion. :)

How in the heck do you get these incredible images!!!

Texwisgirl,

I will remove the word verification on a test basis. Wifey removed it on hers and now gets much more spam. Yes, she still approves messages and yes it usually lands in Blogger spam, but it causes another problem. During the day we each approve our blog comments via our telephones. When getting long and unwanted spam messages on the phones, they clog the email messages on the phone.

Gorgeous! I really like the dogs in the header, as well. As I type I've got a 100 lb. Fox Red Lab pinning my feet to the floor so I can't wander off without taking him along.

Very nice Kjell, they don't build them like that any more. I really like the stone and the arched windows.

Ladies and gentlemen:
Thank you all for your nice comments.

missing moments:
This is called a HDR - High Dynamic Range Photography
Each of these two images has five images on top of each other with a range of -2, -1, 0, 1 & 2. Two images underexposed, one normal and two overexposed. Unfortunately, Canon can only shoot three exposures per bracket. However, using a tripod and with the possibility for three programmable brackets you can shoot up to nine exposures. Each of the brackets will have one normal image (0) image and you need only one of them.
Together with Lightroom 3 or Photoshop CS 5 I use a plug in called "Photomatix Pro 4 ", where you can tweak the image into the best possible color full peace of art (in your/my eyes.) :)

Chip:
Those two dogs are Chris and Penny. Unfortunately, Chris has passed away, but we have a another black lab called Erik. Both the yellow and black Labs are full of fun and are canine agility athletes. They have won more ribbons and plaques than I can frame and hang on the wall.

Larry:
This is the Church my wife went to when she was a child a few years ago. We visited her old stomping grounds recently.

The church is beautiful! I really like all the fieldstone buildings in your part of the country. We have nothing like that here, where logs are the more common building material. Your photography work is outstanding too. I like the HDR and the perspective. Well done!
